E-COMMERCE CREW PAINTS FOR THE BOYS AND GIRLS
Boys and Girls Club of Joplin Receives E-Commerce Volunteers The Boys and Girls Club of Joplin received a facelift of fresh paint on their concession area this past Tuesday, just in time for tournament season. The highly anticipated project was completed the evening of November 8, 2011, after a year-long delay. From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. a volunteer group from the Fletcher Autogroup E-Commerce department painted the inside and outside of the concession area in the middle of the building. “The concession area looks great. Thank you so much for grouping together and making it look SO much better!” said Boys and Girls Club of Joplin Development Director, Heather Schuster. The top half of the concessions area is an updated grey while the bottom is a fresh coat of blue, the volunteers were also sporting the signature grey and blue from the usual painting mishaps. In town for a conference, the Fletcher E-Commerce department donated their time to improve the community and plan to return to further update the club. “As a Fletcher E-commerce employee and Boys and Girls Club board member, it’s great to see the community stepping in and helping with work around the club. Even though they weren’t hit by the tornado, we were severely impacted and in need of volunteers more than ever because we are a non-profit organization” Michelle Vanderplow said.
The Fletcher Auto Group E-Commerce department converged in Joplin from various Fletcher locations for their conference. “The Fletcher Auto Group is proud to be involved in the communities we serve” said E-Commerce Director Kimberly Favazzo Patrum.
Located at 317 Comingo lane near 4th Street and St. Louis, the Boys and Girls Club of Joplin has served the area since 1957. The club offers a variety of services for youth ages 6-18. Enriching programs and a safe environment provide peace of mind for busy parents after school and throughout the summer. Each month over 3,000 meals are served, excluding the breakfast offered throughout summer. Memberships start at $50 a school year, but financial programs make the Boys and Girls Club an option for any budget.
